Public Service Message: VOTE
- Hunter S. Thompson
Vote, people. Go out and vote! Vote like your life depends on it. Because...
Yeah. Just do it.
In a world forever changed by corporate warfare, where even the government and religious powers bow to the will of mass media, a handful of hackers and urbanite rebels plot against a cybernetic power they're convinced is the Antichrist himself. FIVE STAR RATING on Amazon.com! Available at:

"In four short years [George W. Bush] has turned our country from a prosperous nation at peace into a desperately indebted nation at war. But so what? He is the President of the United States, and you're not. Love it or leave it."

You'll be happy to know that I already voted, several weeks ago, via absentee ballot. And, if a certain party who will remain nameless loses their bid to deny the legal voting rights of hundreds of thousands of Americans, and if the hundreds of thousands of newly registered voters turn out on November 2 (or before), as polls like Harvard's say they will, that (as they say... Whoever the hell 'they' are) will be that ;-)
Me...
Wonderful to see you quoting from HST. Like a blast from the past, eh? I picked up the latest Rolling Stone a few days ago specifically to read the "Fear and Loathing 2004" article. The Good Doctor is in fine form spewing his vile and venom with the abandon of a child and a water hose.
Thompson gives Kerry the edge by 5 points with extreme caution. As his betting record on elections is uncannily accurate, let's hope Hunter is correct on this. But it won't mean a hill of beans if people don't vote.
So Vote. Everyone must. And for those of you who are fed up with the whole thing, you have nobody but to blame but yourselves for four more years of "the whole thing".
BUSH WINS BIG! Thank the Lord.
Hi!
Yeah, I voted today. I hope it counts.
I just read Heather's Claws over at Flash Me. It was one of three lucid stories in the present issue. I like your brand of Jerreality. The other stories were written in some sort of arcane literary code. God, that pisses me off.
